Mogacho Anvddo

Mogacho Anvddo (English: Love's Craving) was the first Konkani film.[1] It was produced and directed by Al Jerry Braganza (Antonio Lawrence Jerry Braganza), a native of Mapusa, under the banner ETICA pictures (Exchange Talkies of India, China and Africa)). It was released on 24 April 1950. Hence, this day is celebrated as Konkani Cinema Day, and AL Jerry Braganza is called the 'Father of Konkani Cinema'. The story was written by Al Jerry Braganza. Al Jerry Braganza had education in Portuguese at Liceu. He carried on his education in English at Sacred Heart of Jesus School, Parra and at Bombay Tutorial College in Mumbai.[2]
