Milwaukee Lutheran High School

Milwaukee Lutheran High School (MLHS) is a secondary school located in Milwaukee, in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The school was originally known as Lutheran High School (LHS). LHS was established in 1903, making Milwaukee Lutheran the oldest Lutheran high school in the United States. In the early 1950s, Milwaukee Lutheran split from its Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) brethren due to doctrinal differences between the two synods, and each church body formed its own school. The school formed by the WELS is known as Wisconsin Lutheran High School (WLHS or Wisco).
