Michael Astrapas and Eutychios
Michael Astrapas and Eutychios (flourished 1294 to 1317) were Greek painters from Thessaloniki. They were invited by Serbian ruler Stefan Milutin and others to work in their dominions on commissions as icon painters.[1] Some of their works included frescos at the following churches of what was then Stara Srbija (Old Serbia), now part of North Macedonia and Kosovo:
- Church of the Holy Mother of God Peribleptos at Ohrid (1294)
- Church of Saint Niketas at Čucer Sandevo (before 1315)
- Church of Holy Virgin of Ljeviša in Prizren (1307)
- Church of Saint George at Staro Nagoričane (1317)
- Church of St. Prohor of Pčinja, near Vranje (between 1314 and 1321)
