Life and career

Melody Prochet was raised in Puyricard.[3] She had a musical upbringing, learning to play the piano and the viola at a young age, the latter Prochet says influenced her "orchestral" approach to songwriting.[4] Melody's musical style has been described as dream-pop, space rock, psychedelic rock and shoe-gaze. Music critics have compared her work with the likes of Stereolab, Broadcast and the Cocteau Twins.[5]

She released her first album, called Hunt The Sleeper, in 2010, under the stage name My Bee’s Garden.

Medical issues

On June 27, 2017, a statement was released by the family of Melody Prochet that she had been in a serious accident and would need to be in the hospital for several months. Her upcoming tour would be canceled.[6] Her family later released an updated statement saying that Melody experienced a brain aneurysm and broken vertebrae.[7] The accident pushed back the release of the second Melody's Echo Chamber album, Bon Voyage, from the spring of 2017 to the summer of 2018.
