Mehra

Mehra is a surname among some of the Rajput and Khatri communities of North India. According to Aditya Malik, Mehra remains a powerful community of Rajput landowners in Kumaon Division of Central Himalayas.[1] The name derives from the word "Mihir", meaning sun.[2]
