Career

Bajamich's career started with Instituto, joining in 2016 from Unión de Morrison.[4] He made his professional debut on 23 February 2019 in a Primera B Nacional defeat to Nueva Chicago, having previously been an unused substitute in 2018 for matches with Villa Dálmine and Arsenal de Sarandí.[3][5][6] After coming off the bench versus Nueva Chicago, Bajamich made his first start in senior football against Guillermo Brown on 3 March.[3][7] He scored his first goal on the final day of 2018–19 against Gimnasia y Esgrima.[3] Bajamich then netted four goals in his first five games to start 2019–20, which included a brace away to Brown in Adrogué on 14 September.[3][8]

Personal life

Born in Argentina, Bajamich is of Croatian descent.[9] In 1921, his great-grandfather Mariano Bajamich (Croatian: Marin Bajamić) left Trnbusi, Croatia (then part of Yugoslavia) and moved to Argentina where he married a Spaniard Carmen. Bajamich expressed his desire to play for the Croatian national team. In 2020, he received the Croatian citizenship.[10]
