Marsh Road

Marsh Road (Chinese: 馬師道) is a street in Wan Chai, Hong Kong. It starts from Hennessy Road, crossing Lockhart Road, Jaffe Road and Gloucester Road and ends in Hung Hing Road near Victoria Harbour. The wide Gloucester Road breaks the street in two parts. The flyover across Gloucester Road links two parts of the road and Wan Chai North with Wan Chai.

History

The road was built after the reclamation by Hong Kong Government from 1922 to 1928 and named after William Henry Marsh, a colonial administrator of Hong Kong. It spanned from Hennessy Road to Gloucester Road. In 1960s reclamation, the road extended to Hung Hing Road.
