Mariassunta Giannetti

Mariassunta Giannetti is an economist and a professor of Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics.[1] She won the Assar Lindbeck Medal in 2013.[2]

She was an associate editor of the Review of Financial Studies[3], the Review of Finance and the Journal of Banking and Finance.[4] She is a research fellow at CEPR[5] and the European Academic Director of the Financial Management Association (FMA).[6]

She obtained her Ph.D in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a B.A. and M.Sc. from Bocconi University.[7][8]

Research

Giannetti's research mainly focuses on corporate finance, international finance and financial intermediation. She has published in the American Economic Review,[9] The Journal of Finance,[10] the Journal of Financial Economics[11] and Financial and Quantitative Analysis.[12] Her research has been quoted over 5800 times according to google scholar.[13] She is the 91st most influential woman in economics according to IDEAS.[14]

Her research has been quoted in Bloomberg[15] the Japan Times,[16] and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.[17]
