Mamunul Islam
Mamunul Islam Mamun (born 12 December 1988) is a Bangladeshi international footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Dhaka Abahani Limited and Bangladesh national football team.

He has won four league titles with two clubs. Mamunul started his career at Brothers Union as a central midfielder. After spending a season, he moved to Dhaka Abahani Limited and played two seasons there, 2008–09 and 2009–10. Both seasons Dhaka Abahani Limited became the league champion. He joined Atletico de Kolkata on loan from Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club to play the inaugural season of the Indian Super League. After returning to Sheikh Jamal DC, later he joined his hometown club Chittagong Abahani Limited for a record fee. After spending two seasons there, the midfielder returned to Dhaka Abahani Limited this year.
Career
Dhaka Abahani
Mamunul started his career in Dhaka Abahani as a central midfielder. He was brought from Abahani's youth academy. He played two seasons for Abahani, 2008–09 and 2009–10. Abahani became the league champion in both seasons.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club
Mamunul went to Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club from Dhaka Abahani at 2010–11 season. At first season Sheikh Jamal DC became the league champion. Mamunul played another season for the club.
Sheikh Russel KC
Mamunul went to Sheikh Russel KC from Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club. And won the league, Federation Cup and Independence Cup.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club
2013–14 season Mamunul returned to Sheikh Jamal DC. Sheikh Jamal became the league champion again under Mamunul's captaincy.
Chittagong Abahani Limited
After his stint at Sheikh Jamal DC Mamunul Islam joined his city's club, Chittagong Abahani on a record fee of taka 65 lakh. He played two seasons there. And he captained the team in his first season.
Indian Super League
Mamunul played in the first season of Indian Super League for Atlético de Kolkata, he went to the club on a 3 months loan from Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club.[3] He is the only South Asian player outside India who played in the first season of the league. He impressed Indian football fans in 2014 IFA Shield by taking Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club(one of three foreign clubs participating in the tournament) to the finals. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club received multiple offers for his transfer from Indian clubs. But Mamunul didn't get any chance to play in ISL.
