Mai Mercado
Mai Mercado (born 20 August 1980) is a Danish politician who was the Minister for Children and Social Security (in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen III Cabinet until 27 June 2019) and a Folketing member.

Biography
Born to a dentist and a school teacher, Mercado received a Master of Science from the University of Southern Denmark, and later served as a member of Odense City Council from 2006-2011; she also served as a deputy mayor there. In 2013 she became a municipal councillor in Frederiksberg.[1]
She was elected to the Folketing in the 2011 election.[1] On 28 November 2016, she was appointed as Minister for Children and Social Security in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen III Cabinet.[2][1] Afterwards she left the Folketing.[3]
She is married to Christopher Mercado,[4], with whom she has a son, Winston, and a daughter, Elisa.[5]
