M. Leslie Denning

Melvin Leslie Denning (1895–1986) was the Mayor of Englewood, New Jersey. On November 11, 1951, Denning became the first to use the long-distance direct distance dialing telephone facility in 1951 to contact Mayor Frank Osborne of Alameda, California.[1][2]
