Luis Mojica

Luis Mojica is an American pianist, singer and songwriter best known for an urban piano pop sound.[1] He began developing his musical style in New York City's East Village. In 2012, he moved upstate to Woodstock, New York.[2][3]

In 2013, he released his first record "Anaesthesia" [4] through a successfully funded Kickstarter campaign. The entire album was recorded, performed, and arranged by Luis in his bedroom in Brooklyn, NY.[5]

In February 2015, he released "The Man Who Fell In Love With The Man Who Fell In Love With The Moon", based on the book by Tom Spanbauer. The album was recorded at his home in Woodstock, NY. [6]

In 2015, Luis toured the country with the cello-rock band Rasputina, becoming the first keyboard player to be added to the line-up. He also beat-boxed and sang backing vocals.[7][8][9]

His first studio album Wholesome was released in August 2016.[10] The album featured Melora Creager on cello and Brian Viglione on drums.[11][12]

Luis' second studio album How A Stranger Is Made was released on October 4, 2019.[13][14] It was produced by David Baron and mixed by Justin Guip.[15][16] Its 11 piano-driven songs "quite intimately express his healing journey through shamanism, sexuality, trauma and ecstatic joy".[17]


Personal life

Luis is the founder of Holistic Life Navigation, a private therapy practice.[18] He is a Holistic Therapist who specializes in trauma, addiction, & PTSD. [19]. He is also the Director of Nutrition & Detox Services at Samadhi; a holistic recovery center in Kingston, NY. [20]
