Luca Maresca

Luca Maresca is an Italian karateka. In 2019 he won the gold medal in the men's kumite 67 kg event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus.[2][3] Four years earlier he won the silver medal in the men's kumite 60 kg event at the 2015 European Games held in Baku, Azerbaijan.[4]

Career

In 2013 he represented Italy at the 2013 Mediterranean Games and he won the gold medal in the men's kumite 60 kg event. He also competed at the 2018 Mediterranean Games but did not win a medal this time; he finished in 5th place.[5]

At the 2015 European Karate Championships he won the gold medal in the men's kumite 60 kg event.

In 2018 he competed in the men's 67 kg event at the 2018 World Karate Championships held in Madrid, Spain. He won his first match against Rory Kavanagh but lost his next match against Ali Elsawy.
