List of states and union territories of India by crime rate

As of 2017, Delhi has the highest cognizable crime rate of 1050 (per 100,000 persons) and Uttar Pradesh has the highest incidence of crime based on percentage of share.[1] Nagaland has the lowest crime rate of 44 (per 100,000 persons) as well as the lowest incidence of crime based on percentage of share.
