List of largest towns in England without a railway station

This is a list of towns in England that do not have any sort of rail service. Services taken into account include National Rail, and tram and metro services such as the Manchester Metrolink or the Tyne and Wear Metro.

Smaller towns that are not served by railway stations include Kingswinford in the West Midlands (pop. 25,191), Daventry in Northamptonshire (25,026), Portishead in Somerset (23,699), Clevedon in Somerset (21,282), Spennymoor in County Durham (19,816), Cirencester in Gloucestershire (19,076), Guisborough in North Yorkshire (17,777), Bideford in Devon (17,107) and Oswestry in Shropshire (17,105). As of 2020, there are plans afoot to reopen the stations at Portishead and Oswestry.
