| On their first day to work, rookie paramedics Shi Haoran and Xu Wenqian help a pregnant lady with appendicitis and a teenager with a head injury. Haoran comes from a family of doctors; her mother Fang Lingfeng is a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner, while her father Shi Xinguo and elder brother Shi Zeming are doctors. Haoran’s insistence on being a paramedic instead of studying medicine causes a rift between her and her father. | ||||

| Zeming received a call from his friend Leo and rushes to help his wife Kailin, who has committed suicide. He fails to resuscitate her, and she dies in front of her daughter. | Shaoxiong brings home a beer waitress, and gets caught by Bixia. Wenqian rushes home with Zeming to stop the couple from arguing. In the tussle, Bixia injures Zeming's arm. Wenqian feels guilty, and feels inferior about their differences in their backgrounds. Zeming declares that he is willing to lend her a shoulder to lean on, and Wenqian feels content. | ||||

| Meiying returns to the medical team, but dies in a tragic accident in the line of work. The whole paramedic team is devastated. Jieyi cares for Youhua and Jiajian. Concerned for Youhua, she hides the fact Meiying was pregnant. When he finds out the truth, he is furious at Jieyi. His harsh words hurt her dignity. Meanwhile, Wensong and his girlfriend tied Wenhan to the kitchen window pane, leaving him to throw a tantrum in the house. When Shaoxiong returns home, he was shocked to find the house full of strong gas and that Wenhan had already fainted. Worried sick, Shaoxiong rescues him. | ||||

| Wensong fakes a kidnap to cheat Xiuping of ransom money. She falls for it. Wenqian and Zeming thinks that Xiuping has been cheated, and arrive with the police. The police arrests Wensong, who is high on glue. Xiuping defends Wensong, and blames Wenqian for the arrest. Zeming is upset and reprimands Xiuping for her clueless behavior. Meanwhile cross-dresser Wang Zhiwei tells Nimo why his mother is so upset about her daughter who died two years ago, and decides to cross-dress as both his sister and himself. Nimo would like to cross-dress, Zhiwei did not know that they were trying to make an act to make him give up cross-dressing. | ||||

| While exercising with the elderly at the home for the aged, Yixun thinks Lingfeng intends to match-make him with her daughter and hurriedly escapes. Yixun returns to the home to retrieve his mobile phone and discovers Lingfeng's daughter is none other than Haoran. | ||||

| Bixia complains having to care for Xiuping who suffered a stroke. Xiuping is alone at home when she has to visit the toilet. She falls down and even wets herself. Wenqian arrives home in the nick of time and cleans her up with nary a whimper. Xiuping is grateful to Wenqian although she does not tell her so. Meanwhile Wensong's friends tried to hurt Zeming and Wenqian at the carpark. Wensong came to his senses, and even told his friends to let go of them. When the police arrives, his friends were arrested, and Wensong tries to do a suicide attempt by jumping off the carpark building. | ||||

| Yixun is unable to accept the truth when he discovers his birth mother who abandoned him since young is Yaqin. Feeling guilty upon realising the man who has been caring for her all these while is her son Yixun, she runs away in a hurry only to fall into the hands of Wenzong. With Yaqin in his hands, Wenzong threatens Yixun to drop his charges against him. Meanwhile, Bryan pushes Jieyi off the drain when she discovers that he killed Meiying. The next day Bryan leaves country in a taxi. Thereafter, when Wenzong and his wife tried to escape from town after Raymond tells everything to the police, Yaqin comes along with them out of the blue. When she questions them about Tangtang (Yixun), they landed in a consecutive car accident that involved Bryan in another taxi as well... | ||||
