List of One-Punch Man episodes
One-Punch Man is a Japanese anime series based on the webcomic created by One and its subsequent manga adaptation illustrated by Yusuke Murata. Set in City Z, the story focuses on Saitama, a superhero who has grown bored as he has become so powerful that all of his battles end in a single punch. The series was directed by Shingo Natsume at Madhouse and was written by Tomohiro Suzuki.[1] The series also features character design by Chikashi Kubota, who also served as chief animation director, and music by Makoto Miyazaki.[2] The series aired in Japan between October 5, 2015 and December 21, 2015 and was simulcast by Daisuki and Hulu.
The opening theme song is "The Hero!! ~Ikareru Ken ni Honō o Tsukero~" (THE HERO!! ～怒れる拳に火をつけろ～, "The Hero!! Set Fire to the Furious Fist") by JAM Project, and the ending theme is "Hoshi Yori Saki ni Mitsukete Ageru" (星より先に見つけてあげる, "I'll Find It Before the Stars for You") by Hiroko Moriguchi. The ending theme for episode 12 is "Kanashimi-tachi o Dakishimete" (悲しみたちを抱きしめて, "Hug Those Who Are Feeling Sad") by Moriguchi.[2]
An original video animation was released with the tenth manga volume on December 4, 2015.[3] Additional OVAs are included in Blu-ray Disc & DVD volumes of the series, which begin release from December 24, 2015.[4][5][6]
The series is licensed in North America, Latin America and Oceania by Viz Media, and by Viz Media Europe in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.[7] The series was streamed worldwide excluding Asia on Daisuki. Viz Media streamed the series on Neon Alley in North America.[8] Kaze UK and Manga Entertainment distributes the series in the United Kingdom and Ireland,[9] and Madman Entertainment distributes the series in Australia and New Zealand, who also streamed the series on AnimeLab.[10] An English dub of the series began airing in the United States on Adult Swim's Toonami block from July 16, 2016 to October 8, 2016.[11][12] The first season of the anime received critical acclaim, praised for its animation quality, visuals, humor, and the overall story itself.
A second season was later confirmed in September 2016.[13] The second season is animated by J.C. Staff with Chikara Sakurai replacing Shingo Natsume as director and Yoshikazu Iwanami replacing Shoji Hata as sound director. Tomohiro Suzuki, Chikashi Kubota and Makoto Miyazaki reprised their roles as series composer, character designer and music composer, respectively.[14]
The opening theme song is "Uncrowned Greatest Hero" (静寂のアポストル, Seijaku no Apostle, lit. "Quiet Apostle") by JAM Project, and the closing theme is "Chizu ga Nakutemo Modoru kara" (地図が無くても戻るから, lit. "Even Without a Map, I'll Return") by Makoto Furukawa.[15][16][17] The second season aired between April 9, 2019 and July 2, 2019, while a television special aired on April 2, 2019.[16][18] The second season is simulcast on Hulu in the US,[16] on Tubi in Canada,[19] on AnimeLab in Australia and New Zealand,[20] and on Crunchyroll in Europe.[21]
A 10-minute OVA was bundled with the second season's first Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume on October 25, 2019.[22][23] Two more 10-minute OVAs were bundled with the second season's second and third Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume on November 26 and December 25, 2019, respectively.[24][25] Another 10-minute OVA was bundled with the second season's fourth Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume on January 28, 2020.[26] The 5th OVA will be bundled with the second season's fifth Blu-ray Disc/DVD volume on February 27, 2020.[27]

While they easily defeat bicycle hero Mumen Rider, Hammerhead's men are taken out by Zeniru's hired ninja Speed-o'-Sound Sonic. Hammerhead flees after surviving a kunai stab to the back of his head, only to run into Saitama, who clarifies his lack of association with the Paradisers despite their shared baldness. Saitama easily defeats Hammerhead by destroying his suit, but lets him live and run away. Then Sonic, thinking Saitama was one of the Paradisers, attacks him, but is defeated after the ninja accidentally plants his crotch on Saitama's fist. The ninja quivers in agony and retreats, but not before declaring Saitama his eternal rival. That night, as Hammerhead turns over a new leaf after the owners of the stolen suits nearly killed him, Saitama sulks over his lack of recognition as a hero before Genos suggests they join the Hero Association. | |||||

They then attend an orientation seminar by Snakebite Snek, who is annoyed that Saitama does not pay attention to him. Snek tries to newbie crush Saitama, but is humbled when Saitama effortlessly defeats him. Having received new upgrades, Genos asks Saitama to spar with him and to do so seriously. Saitama humors him, but when he gets serious he completely outclasses Genos before he stops his finishing blow and calmly asks him to go get some food with him. | Saitama tries to come up with ideas for mentoring Genos, then rushes off to find a villain once learning that C-class heroes get dropped off the registry after a week of inactivity. Sonic demands to settle their alleged rivalry, but Saitama refuses. Tank-Top Tiger reproaches Saitama for his antics and tries to take credit for being a hero when Sonic attacks him for interfering between him and Saitama’s rivalry. Sonic then starts causing mayhem to force Saitama to fight him. Saitama realizes Sonic is doing villanous things and swiftly knocks him out with a tap on the back. Later that day, rumors of a monster skulking around the desolate Z-City reach the Hero Association. They send A-Class heroes Golden Ball and Spring Mustachio to investigate before they are taken out by the monster Kombu Infinity. While assumed to be the rumored monster, Kombu Infinity was actually attracted to Z-City by the rumor as well, but Saitama kills the monster and uses its remains for kombu soup. Sometime later, Genos informs Saitama that he is ranked 6th in popularity despite being in 17th place within the S-class, greatly annoying an envious Saitama. | |||||

| Scientists and astronomers are busy studying the flight pattern of a meteorite that suddenly changed its trajectory-towards City Z, with all S-Class heroes deployed to intercept the meteor. Only Genos arrives on the scene, followed by an aged S-Class hero Bang. He tells Genos the meteor evacuation protocols have already begun and that he should clear out before it is too late. Bang himself cannot leave the city due to family honor and personal reasons, but before he could formally introduce himself, Genos has already left. Genos theorizes that it is too late to evacuate, seeing the meteor approaching very fast. Another S-Class hero named Metal Knight shows up to test out a new weapon against the meteor but is uninterested in teaming up with Genos. When Metal Knight’s new weapon fails, Genos uses his own prototype weapon on the meteor. Despite the overwhelming power displayed, he also fails. Saitama shows up and destroys the meteor with a single punch, impressing Bang and boosting Genos' admiration. However, the meteor shatters into several meteorites and still manages to destroy the city. The next day, Saitama learns that his rank has jumped from 342nd to 5th. After that Saitama goes out to look for more crises for him to deal with to boost his own rank. Much of the city is destroyed but despite that, there are zero casualties reported. Tanktop Tiger appears and believes Saitama has stolen credit for the meteor destruction. Tanktop Tiger calls his brother Tanktop Black Hole, who begins to rally up a mob against Saitama, putting all the blame on him for the city's destruction. Tanktop Tiger attacks Saitama, and gets punched into the sky for his trouble. Tanktop Blackhole attacks next, and Saitama catches his fist, crushing it to the point of Tanktop Blackhole begging for mercy and admitting he lied. Saitama then moves on to the crowd, who were chanting for his resignation, and he shouts everyone down. Saitama clarifies that he is being a hero because he wants to and does not need to be appreciated for it. Genos appears and tells Saitama that it is time for them to go home. In the post-credits, unseen citizens discuss Saitama's victory over the meteor, while a myriad of ominous creatures located under the sea appear to be gathering. | |||||

| The Seafolk Tribe openly declare war on humanity. Saitama easily kills an octopus-like monster while on his way home. Mumen Rider is late to the scene and sees only the destroyed body of the creature, and hears the crowd talking about Saitama. Mumen looks Saitama up on the internet and finds that he is powerful, but opinions are divided on him. At the coast, several large Sea-Folk monsters emerge from the sea, threatening City J. The Class A hero Stinger (rank 11) challenges them with his powerful Bamboo Shoot weapon. Meanwhile, Genos dries dishes as Saitama watches a news report about Stinger's battle against the Sea-Folk. They decide to head out to confront the threat. Back at the fight, Stinger takes out the last four Seafolk with a Gigantic Drill Stinger Quadruple Thrust attack, but is then bested by the Seafolks' leader: Deep Sea King. Saitama, Genos, and Mumen Rider all set off to confront the threat. Genos splits off from Saitama to scout ahead. Various other heroes confront Deep Sea King to no avail, including Lightning Max (class A), Puri-Puri Prisoner (class S), and Sonic (although not a hero). Sonic fights Sea King to a standstill, but when it starts raining, Sea King unleashes his true form and Sonic is forced to retreat. Meanwhile, Saitama and Mumen Rider meet each other on the way to the fight. Saitama goes off to find Sonic who was seen running naked through the rain. Mumen gets a phone call from the Hero Association headquarters and goes to confront Sea King, who has broken into an emergency shelter and is dispatching the heroes there ranging from All Back-Man, Bunbunman, Jet Nice Guy, and Sneck. Saitama returns to where he met Mumen Rider to find a discarded cell phone. The episode ends with Saitama turning serious as he tells the Hero Association that he’s on his way. | |||||

| Genos initiates the battle and seemingly overpowers the Deep Sea King until the monster rips off one of his arms. Genos tells the civilians to flee before being further damaged when shielding a child from a glob of acid the Deep Sea King spewed before Mumen Rider appears. Despite his determination and the civilians cheering him on, Mumen Rider is brutally beaten until he is caught by Saitama, who had been instructed by the Association to provide backup and arrives in that exact moment. After exchanging a few words with the Deep Sea King, Saitama defeats him with a single punch, stopping the rain in the process and earning the praise of the civilians. However, when one of the civilians starts badmouthing the other heroes, Saitama downplays his victory to restore the peoples' faith in the other heroes at the cost of his own public image. Some time later he and Genos get fan mail, with Saitama getting only one hate mail but also one thank you letter as well as a notification from the Hero Association that his conduct promoted him to 101st Rank, B-class. While on his way home, Saitama encounters Mumen Rider in a roadside oden shop. Mumen Rider reveals he sent the thank-you letter and pays for Saitama's dinner. | The Ancient King of the Terror Lizard Clan appears but is easily destroyed by Tatsumaki. At Bang's dojo, Bang tells Saitama and Genos, who were called there by Bang to learn some moves, about how his former best student, Garou, had gone wild and defeated all of his other top students. Suddenly, a Hero Association member comes and informs the heroes that an emergency has been declared and all S Class heroes have been called to a meeting. At the association, Saitama meets Atomic Samurai, an arrogant S Class hero, and the other S Class heroes, Puri-Puri Prisoner, Metal Bat, Tanktop Master, Flashy Flash, Watchdog Man, Superalloy Darkshine, Pig God, Drive Knight, Zombieman, King, Child Emperor, except for Metal Knight and Blast, who are absent. Sitch, a staff member of the association, starts the meeting by telling the heroes that the emergency would be perilous and even with their skills, there is no guarantee of survival. Also, the great seer, Madame Shibabawa, had died while becoming agitated and choking on a cough pill because of a coughing fit while predicting the future. Sitch mentions that Shibabawa's predictions have always been 100% accurate, be it monster attacks or natural disasters. Before she died, she left a note. The note read "The Earth is in trouble", prompting a mixed reaction of shock and disbelief among the heroes. He warns the heroes to prepare for a fight in the next 6 months. Just after he says this, the HQ is attacked by the Skyfolk led by Sky King, who are quickly slain by Melzalgald, a member of an alien mercenary group called the Dark Matter Thieves. The Dark Matter Thieves' spaceship wipes out City A, causing a large number of casualties as their alien invasion begins. Just as Melzargard is about to kill some City A civilians, Iaian, a student of Atomic Samurai, arrives and engages him in battle. Saitama encounters the alien ship and advances towards it. Meanwhile, Melzargard proves to be too strong for Iaian to handle, as Iaian loses his left arm before Atomic Samurai intervenes, saving his student. Melzargard regenerates and the hero’s attacks seem to cause no damage to him. Then, Metal Bat, Bang and Puri Puri Prisoner arrive to back up Atomic Samurai. Puri Puri Prisoner enters Angel style and attacks Melzargard. Elsewhere, the other S Class heroes discuss how to bring down the ship. As they offer differing views, Genos notes that Saitama has already entered the ship and has slain a large number of the aliens. He comments that there is no evil that Saitama is unable to defeat. Saitama encounters Goribas, an alien who brags on how easily he would defeat Saitama. But he is slain, as Saitama punches at everything and continues to destroy the ship, wondering where the boss might be. At the end, Boros is seen on his throne. | |||||

| Geryuganshoop complains about Groribas' defeat as he and Melzargard are the only elite fighters left alive. He also informs Boros that the ship is badly damaged by the human intruder but Lord Boros tells him not to fear as the sphere keeping them safe won't allow that to happen. Meanwhile, Puri Puri Prisoner's efforts turn out to be futile as Melzargard simply regenerates back into his original form. Melzargard tells one of his heads to go and contact the ship for a bombardment. As the head tries to fly away, Metal Bat smashes it down. Melzargard and Geryuganshoop telepathically tell each other that both sides are dealing with big trouble as Saitama reaches another door. Atomic Samurai, Puri Puri Prisoner and Bang join forces and attack Melzargard together. Melzargard and Geryuganshoop speak telepathically saying the life forms below are persistently attacking him and requests for a cleansing bombardment. Geryuganshoop is too busy but notifies the artillery crew. Geryuganshoop leaves the conversation, but while Melzargard is distracted, Metal Bat finds a marble within one of Melzargard’s heads and destroys it, which in turn destroys the head before it could regenerate. Geryuganshoop tries to lead Saitama out of the ship, but Saitama goes in the opposite direction to find the control room. He finally finds Geryuganshoop, who has incredible telepathic powers that can manipulate everything and anything. But in the end Saitama nonchalantly throws a pebble at Geryuganshoop and kills him with it. After busting a few more heads with the method Metal Bat has discovered, the four heroes look up to see a shell bombardment about to attack. As it is fired, Tatsumaki appears and stops the bullets in mid air. She then turns the bullets around and forces them back onto the ship full force. Mumen Rider helps evacuate a victim to safety, and Stinger and Lightning Max appear wanting to help too. Bang finds another marble and crushes it. Angry, Melzargard slaps the concrete along with Bang, who takes a direct hit. He sticks onto a building, unconscious. With one more head left, Melzargard threatens to crush Atomic Samurai's head and he retaliates after seeing his comrade in that condition, shredding the Dragon-level monster with Atomic Slash, his ultimate technique. Saitama finds Boros, who recognizes him as Earth's strongest warrior and shows him respect while explaining he came to Earth because of a prophecy to find his ideal opponent. Saitama punches Boros, only for his attack to merely destroy the alien’s armor, which was designed to suppress his full power. | |||||

| Boros starts to fight with Saitama, which leads to Boros losing an arm. The fight continues on, even reaching the point where Saitama is kicked all the way to the moon, but he quickly returns. Meanwhile, Mumen Rider, Stinger, and Lightning Max rescue the last of the City A survivors. Tanktop Master tries to attack the ship by throwing a piece of rubble at it, only for Tatsumaki to throw dozens of pieces of rubble at the ship. The fight between the heroes and Melzargard concludes when Bang recovers and destroys his final marble before he could regenerate from Atomic Samurai’s attack, killing the monster for good. The fight between Saitama and Boros continues and it is revealed that Boros has regenerative powers. Eventually, they both use their trump cards, with Saitama’s Serious Punch overwhelming Boros’ Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon, an energy attack capable of destroying an entire planet. As Saitama emerges victorious, Boros admits he was not even close to Saitama’s strength before dying. After the fight, Drive Knight warns Genos that Metal Knight is his enemy. Amai Mask appears and blames the S-class heroes for the destruction of City A, nearly causing a fight with Metal Bat which is interrupted by Metal Knight, who emerges to salvage parts of the ship. Meanwhile, Superalloy Darkshine discovers alien survivors whom Amai Mask promptly executes. Genos sees his past self in Amai Mask. Saitama emerges from the ship, resulting in Tornado having a tantrum, as she believed she could have handled the ship herself and that Saitama had stolen her fight. With Saitama’s encouragement, Genos insults her back, which results in him being thrown into a rock by her powers, but Bang interrupts before it can escalate into a fight. The parts Metal Knight salvages from the ship are used to rebuild the Hero Association HQ, which is built with the remains of City A. Both A and S Class heroes are invited to reside there. In the post-credits, Saitama destroys Pluton: King of the Underworld with one punch, much to his irritation. | |||||

| Saitama and Genos are returning from the grocery store when they see King, S Class Hero Rank 7. A reptilian monster runs away from King due to hearing King's Engine (King's heartbeat). A robot named G4 soon challenges King to a fight, and lets King go at "full power" by going to the bathroom. However, G4 will murder every innocent civilian nearby if King doesn’t return in ten minutes. King panics because he isn't the "strongest human alive", but a normal ordinary Otaku who happened to be at the place where monsters were destroyed and was given the credit, which he started accepting to become popular. When King sees Genos fighting G4, King runs away to his house to play his video game. Saitama follows him, and plays video games with King, much to King's chagrin. A huge bird monster attacks King's place, and in a state of panic King wets his pants and exposes his deception. Saitama kills the bird monster, which makes King realize it was Saitama who had saved him from the monster that gave him the scar on his left eye long ago. Afterwards, Saitama plays video games with King while Genos gets upgrades from G4's equipment after defeating the robot. The President of the Hero Association announces that he will be hiring villains due to the increased need of help after the Dark Matter Thieves’ attack. Speed O Sound Sonic leaves the meeting after discovering Saitama was not present, as he only wanted to fight him. In the post credit scene, a man named Garou proclaims that this will be a slaughter party after reading the paper. | ||||||

| During the meeting, Garou insults both the heroes and the villains, saying that he is on the side of monsters and declares everyone as his enemy. He beats up everyone using his martial arts skill except Sitch as a message to spread the word of Garou. Meanwhile, Saitama is at his house playing video games on the PlayStation Portable that he stole from King, while Genos is doing chores when Genos hears a knock on the door. Genos opens the door to see Speed O Sound Sonic trying to find Saitama to fight him. While Genos and Sonic fight someplace else, Fubuki, going by Hellish Blizzard, is the B-Class Rank 1 hero who tries to persuade Saitama to join her faction. Fubuki fails to convince Saitama, and orders her underlings to attack him, but Saitama easily beats them in one punch. Fubuki uses her psychic abilities to seemingly defeat Saitama, but Saitama remains unfazed from her attacks. He then berates her for surrounding herself with underlings, as she thinks that if she's surrounded by underlings she would be stronger. However, he tells her she would eventually face a villain that would be stronger than her and her underlings. Saitama proclaims that factions are useless, and warns the esper to never insult heroes ever again. Fubuki ignores his lecture and tries to attack him again, but Saitama sees Sonic and Genos fighting behind her and an imminent explosion. When the explosion clears, it is shown that Saitama saved Fubuki from the blast while remaining unscathed himself. During the scuffle, it seems that there is no clear winner as Sonic is too fast while Genos is way too durable. Genos tries to create a huge explosion which would knock out Sonic, but Saitama knocks Genos down, reminding him that if he made the explosion, it would have destroyed Saitama's apartment. Saitama then challenges Sonic, and hilariously counters Sonic's shadow clone move with Killer Move: Serious Series Sideway Jumps (by side jumping really fast). Sonic is shocked, and in the moment Sonic passes through the after images, he crashes to the ground, badly bruised and defeated, while Fubuki watches the whole thing in awe of Saitama’s ease of defeating such an obviously powerful opponent. Later in Saitama’s apartment, Fubuki reveals that she is the younger sister of Tatsumaki, S Class Hero Rank 2 known as Tornado of Terror. Due to Tatsumaki being overwhelmingly strong compared to her, Fubuki gathers underlings to be stronger. Genos asks why she doesn’t strive to be Class A Rank 1, but Fubuki says she can't because Amai Mask is Class A Rank 1, and he is too strong which would also explain why Atomic Samurai's disciples can't join their master in Class S. Elsewhere, Amai Mask brutally kills a monstrous caveman named Suppon, emphasizing her point. Fubuki also says that she would never be Rank Number 1. Fubuki tries to convince Saitama one last time to join her faction, but Saitama refuses. Before Fubuki could insult him, King arrives to retrieve his video game. Fubuki is shocked to be in King’s presence, while Saitama tries to explain that he accidentally destroyed the PSP as well as erased King's saved data. The Hero Association gives Saitama the hero name Caped Baldy because of his appearance, while Genos is named Demon Cyborg due to his aggressive attacks. | Seemingly due to his frustration with Garou's reappearance, Silver Fang severely beats his only pupil, Charanko, and expels him from his dojo. Charanko goes to tell Saitama and Genos, and notices that King and Fubuki are also in Saitama's apartment. Genos correctly deduces that Charanko was kicked out because of the reappearance of Garou. While walking home one night, Charanko happens upon Garou picking a fight with Mumen Rider, the Class C Rank 1 Hero. Before they could fight however, Tank Top Vegetarian and his crew arrive to confront Garou. Garou easily defeats Tank Top Vegetarian again, but Tank Top Master intervenes, greatly exciting Garou, as he gets to fight an S-Class hero for the first time. Tank Top Master gains the upper hand, but before he could deal the finishing blow, Mumen Rider jumps in to take the hit, saying that heroes don't kill humans because it's wrong. Garou seemingly apologizes for his actions, but tries to attack again. Tank Top Master sees through Garou’s tactic and lands a strong blow, forcing Garou to use his trump card-the Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist, to counter it. With his initial compunctions against using the martial art due to it reminding him of Bang now out of the way, Garou uses it to defeat Tank Top Master, Mumen Rider, Charanko and the entire Tank Top gang before going on his merry way. Bang calls his brother Bomb to help deal with the Garou threat, and while walking they stumble across the Tank Top's crew’s and Charanko's beaten bodies. The next day, Saitama visits Mumen Rider in the hospital, and learns from Tank Top Master about Garou's martial arts. Garou finds a boy name Tareo who is reading a hero almanac that describes what each hero does and their movesets, and plans to take out Class A Hero: Golden Ball. Garou fights against Golden Ball, and defeats Golden Ball and fellow Class A Rank 28 hero: Spring Mustachio, who had come to assist his friend Golden Ball. Meanwhile, after hearing all about Garou's martial arts, Saitama decides he wants to see what martial arts are all about. Charanko gives Saitama a ticket to a mixed-martial arts tournament, but warns Saitama that the tournament will disqualify any impersonators, but Saitama doesn't listen. After beating up a pimp, Garou is walking around when he encounters Saitama, who is planning to buy a wig for the tournament. Mistakenly thinking that Saitama wants to fight him, Garou tries to chop Saitama, but his attack has no effect. Annoyed, Saitama chops Garou on the back of the neck, and Garou is knocked out. In the post-credit scene, Genos catches Saitama putting on his wig, so he asks Dr. Kuseno over his phone to implant artificial fibers to give Saitama the appearance of hair, much to Saitama's annoyance. | ||||||

| It is revealed that when Garou was young, he always rooted for the bad guys to win due to the good guys being too popular. When he asked his father, his father replies that the good guys will always win. Garou find that unfair to the monsters because to him the monsters were always the ones trying their best to win, but will lose all the time because they were seen as "freaks." Unwilling to accept the status quo, Garou resolved to become the strongest monster and never lose, and to change the scenario. Garou wakes up from his defeat against Saitama, with no memory of what happened. Garou meets up with Tareo and sees Watchdog Man and Metal Bat, and plans to find them. Saitama signs up for the fighting tournament, and is looking over a list of the contestants of the tournament when Sour Face, a former disciple of Bang, shows up. Sour Face plans to win the tournament to be famous like Bang, and reveals that the year before a contestant named Wolfman won the tournament. However the authorities found the real Wolfman tied up, which is why there's a new rule that if there are any participants that are wearing disguises or is an imposter, then the participant will be disqualified and banned from the tournament forever, as well as paying a heavy fee. It is also revealed that 6 months ago Garou decided that he has nothing left to learn and rampaged through the dojo, disabling many of the students, including Sour Face. Garou then received a beating from Bang and was expelled from the dojo, which also caused Sour Face to quit the dojo. When Sour Face insults "Charanko", Saitama points out that at least Charanko was brave enough to fight against Garou one on one while Sour Face quit, and vows to win the tournament which angers Sour Face. Meanwhile, the Hero Association plans to protect its officials from monster attacks by assigning S Class Heroes. King manages to get away by lying that he's fighting against a secret boss when in reality he is playing a video game. Metal Bat is forced to babysit Narinki, a VIP sponsor of the Hero Association, and his son Waganma at a Mouse Sushi restaurant in S-City instead of watching his little sister play piano. When Metal Bat receives a call from his sister, two monsters named Junior Centipede and Venus Mantrap attack Nanrinki but Metal Bat easily kills them. Suddenly, another monster named Senior Centipede attacks Metal Bat. A monster named Raffleseidon appears and puts on sleeping gases which knocks out Narinki and Waganma. Metal Bat is forced to endure many hits before hitting himself in the head, which pumps adrenaline into his system, rendering the gas useless and enabling him to kill the two Demon Level monsters with one hit apiece. Two local heroes take Narinki and Waganma when a Dragon-level monster named Elder Centipede attacks Metal Bat. During the fight, Elder Centipede knocks Metal Bat near Garou. Thinking that Metal Bat is dead, Garou plans to find Watchdog Man when Metal Bat gets back up. Garou naturally wants to fight Metal Bat, but Metal Bat wants to go back after Elder Centipede. Garou initiates the fight by attacking Metal Bat, and Metal Bat barely manages to block the preemptive blow. In the post-credit scene, a martial artist named Suiryu asks two girls to lead him to the Fight tournament. | ||||||

| Metal Knight tries to defeat Elder Centipede, but fails to even scratch the behemoth monster. After a lengthy battle Garou defeats Metal Bat, but grudgingly admits that Metal Bat would have won if he managed to hit him even once. Metal Bat gets up and nearly kills Garou when Garou's back is turned, but stops when his younger sister, Zenko, finds him. Garou counterattacks, but Zenko gets between them and orders them to stop fighting. Garou relents (having a soft spot for kids) and walks away to find Watchdog Man. Metal Bat tries again to go after Elder Centipede, but collapses due to too much damage from his battles with Elder Centipede and Garou after Zenko slaps him back down to get him to stop. The two C Class heroes (Pineapple and Mohican) who have Narinki and Waganma are confronted by Rhino Wrestler and are swiftly defeated, which causes the monsters to capture Waganma. Two monsters named Phoenix Man and Sludge Jellyfish try to persuade Garou to join the Monster Association, but Garou refuses. Phoenix Man promises Garou that they will meet again if Garou will continue to hunt for heroes, and tells Elder Centipede and the rest of the monsters to retreat, with Metal Knight following them. Bang and Bomb continue to try to find Garou, and Bang lets out his frustration on a Demon-level monster named Boxing Demon, killing him violently with a ruthless barrage of blows. Many monsters of different disaster levels (Marshall Gorilla, Do-S, Hundred Eyes Octopus, Pure-Blood, and Make Plasma) start attacking heroes, which worries the Hero Association. Before Do-S can kill Dynamite Man (her power being that if she whips someone, they will be under her control) with her mind controlled heroes, Fubuki stops her attack. Meanwhile, in the Fight Tournament Saitama is introduced to Bakuzan, Suiryu, Lightning Max, Ring Ring, Hamukichi, Choze, Zakkos and Snek, with Genos watching in the crowd. Suiryu notices Bakuzan's bloodlust toward him, and is only after the prize money, although Suiryu wishes he could have fought against WolfMan (Garou in disguise). After Lightning Max defeats Ring Ring, Zakkos reveals that the fighters are often paired up based on their looks. Saitama deduces that Zakkos is weak since he's paired up with Saitama (Saitama being sorted due to him appearing "weak.") which angers Zakkos. In the post-credit scene, Saitama slaps Zakkos, defeating him in one hit, much to Saitama's annoyance. Suiryu notices Saitama's strength and is excited to face him in the finals. | ||||||

| Lightning Max loses his fight with Suiryu, and Genos gets a message concerning a lot of monsters around the tournament. Snakebite Snek beats his opponent Benpatsu, and the announcers get messages of a lot of monsters and plan on evacuating the audience, but Bakuzan convinces them not to. Sourface beats his opponent Jakuman, but they part on good terms. Sourface excitedly tells "Charanko"/Saitama that he won, but Saitama had gone to the bathroom. When Saitama faces off against Bakuzan, Bakuzan sadistically describes how he will destroy Saitama, but when Bakuzan touches Saitama's wig and states that he would knock Saitama's "hair" off, Saitama comically punches him out of the tournament in one hit, impressing Suiryu. Genos manages to kill all but one of the monsters-the last one, the Demon-level Awakened Cockroach, barely escaping. With Genos' back turned, he is suddenly attacked by a Mysterious Being. Some of the Hero Association members find Pineapple and Mohican, and they learn that Waganma was captured, but not Narinki. Meanwhile, Do-S successfully manages to brainwash all of Fubuki's henchmen, but Fubuki repels them back. Do-S says she's attacking Fubuki so that she can face Tatsumaki, but Fubuki tells her that when she's hurt, Tatsumaki will know. Right on cue, a monster lands in front of Do-S with Tatsumaki arriving. Do-S orders Fubuki's mind-controlled henchmen to attack Tatsumaki while she flees, but Tatsumaki easily knocks the henchmen into buildings. Tatsumaki gives a lecture to Fubuki that surrounding yourself with henchmen will cause you to become weak before flying away. Suiryu and Sneck face off, with Suiryu casually avoiding Sneck's strikes and questioning his reasons for fighting. He taunts Sneck by telling him that he is ineffectual as a hero, and that he sought power with no particular agenda, with his nonchalant attitude enraging Sneck. However, Suiryu knocks him out with a single blow, musing that no matter what happens, the truly strong will always survive. In the post-credit scene, Garou sees Watchdog Man, Saitama is in the bathroom, and a Dragon-level monster named Gouketsu is revealed to be the one who defeated Genos. Amai Mask's concert is attacked by monsters, a group of monsters are attacking a hospital where Mumen Rider and Tank Top Master are at, a monster named Nyan looks for Puri Puri Prisoner, but the prisoners reveal that Puri Puri Prisoner escaped prison to fight against the monsters, and two monsters named Gyoro Gyoro and Orochi have captured Metal Knight. | ||||||

| Child Emperor (S Class Hero Rank 5) uses his robot Underdog Man No. 22 to analyze a monster named Eyesight's poisons to find a cure for the paralysis. Child Emperor then proceeds to detonate Underdog Man when it's near Eyesight, but that did not successfully kill her as she hardened her skin. Eyesight then manages to find Child Emperor, but is interrupted and eaten by Pig God (S Class Hero Rank 10). Pig God decides to go after the other monsters in Y-City afterwards. Garou tries to go after Watchdog Man (S Class Hero Rank 12), but a monster beats him to it. Drive Knight (S Class Hero Rank 9) interrogates a monster he spared after killing the others. Death Gatling (Class A Hero Rank 8) gathers other heroes to fight Hundred Eyes Octopus, but Flashy Flash (S Class Hero Rank 13) arrives and grievously wounds it with his incredible speed. Right when Flashy Flash is about to unleash his final move, Tatsumaki (S Class Hero Rank 2) arrives and kills Hundred Eyes Octopus with ease, berating Flashy Flash for being too slow before leaving, but not before Flash insults her back. Amai Mask kills monsters in his concert and Mumen Rider and Tank Top Master defeat monsters in the hospital. Atomic Samurai attends a meeting with the Council of Swordsmasters (Nichirin, Amahare, Zanbai, and Haragiri) to discuss the Garou problem. Haragiri reveals that he has sided with the Monster Association, and gives the sword masters 3 monster cells which will amplify their strength, speed and skill at the cost of their humanity and turning them into monsters. Haragiri tries to kill Atomic Samurai (as Atomic Samurai is too much of a threat). but Atomic Samurai slays Haragiri before leaving with his disciples (Bushidrill, Iaian and Okamaitachi) to find the Monster Association base. Meanwhile in the Super Fight Tournament, Saitama defeats Sourface and Choze before facing off against Suiryu in the finals, with Suiryu promising to show Saitama what martial arts are all about. During the fight Suiryu begins to express his disdain about the hero lifestyle, and tries to persuade Saitama not to become a hero since it is pointless and boring to do heroic justice and save the day. Instead, Suiryu remarks that people with great strength such as Saitama should seek thrills, just like him before he kicks Saitama in the head. Angered and annoyed, Saitama lets the kick connect, knocking the wig off his head. Finally exposed, Saitama throws a short range punch while exclaiming that if Suiryu's goal is to seek fun, he shouldn't try to make himself stronger than he is currently. However, Saitama restrains his punch before it hits Suiryu, which creates a powerful shock wave that blows off Suiryu's clothes, exposing his muscular body and leaving him in a state of deep shock. Despite Saitama being disqualified, Suiryu still attacks Saitama in anger, even using his final attack (Void Phoenix Ascension Fist). Saitama is unfazed by the assault. When Saitama says that martial arts are techniques that make you look cool, and starts spinning around, Suiryu tries to attack Saitama yet again but is knocked back by Saitama into a wall while taking Saitama's white belt, resulting in Saitama's pants falling down. Despite Suiryu embarrassing Saitama with that action, he is still in deep shock that he lost. In the post-credit scene, Genos wakes up from the wreckage, and a monster is heading toward the Martial Arts Tournament. | ||||||

| Suiryu is handed his trophy (due to Saitama being disqualified), when suddenly the monster Gouketsu (the one who attacked Genos) and his monsters arrive, knocking out Lightning Max and Snek. It is revealed that Gouketsu was a former human who was a martial arts champion when he was kidnapped by Orochi and Gyoro a few years ago. They offered him a monster cell in exchange for his freedom, and when Gouketsu ate the monster cell he became drunk on power and became a full monster. Gouketsu gives the monster cells to some of the martial artists, where Choze and others became monsters. Suiryu defeats Choze and the monsters, and openly defies Gouketsu by throwing the monster cell back at him. Gouketsu orders his monster crows to beat the remaining martial artists (Sourface included) and pummels Suiryu. Bakuzan watches the chaos unfolding, and reveals that he hated Suiryu, but admits that Suiryu will always defeat him. Bakuzan gathers 3 monster cells to prevent Suiryu from being tempted, and eats all three of them. However, the strain is too much and Bakuzan faints. Before the monster crows (Gouketsu's dolomites who lost their humanity when they ate the monster cells) can eat Suiryu, Lightning Max and Snek save Suriyu and the three beat the monster crows. Lightning Max and Snek plan to stall Gouketsu so Suiryu can get help, but Bakuzan in his full monster form arrives and pummels Suiryu half to death. Meanwhile, Mumen Rider and Tank Top Master are defending the hospital that Charanko is in. Bakuzan arrogantly proclaims that he is the strongest after defeating Suiryu, but Gouketsu warns him by nearly killing him with a punch (that destroys a part of the colosseum) that there are other monsters that are stronger. Gouketsu gets a message from Gyoro to retreat as S Class Heroes are coming, and Gouketsu warns Bakuzan to not get too arrogant. Suiryu weakly tells Bakuzan that he won, and to spare him but Bakuzan reveals that he enjoys inflicting pain on weak individuals, and is about to step on Lightning Max and Snek. Suiryu finally pleads for other heroes to arrive to help, and Saitama arrives in the nick of time to save Lightning Max and Snek from being stomped on before facing off with Bakuzan. | ||||||

| Bakuzan recognizes Saitama as the one who defeated him, but Saitama kills Bakuzan in one punch. Saitama formally introduces himself to Suiryu as a hero and explains that he joined the martial arts tournament to find the hero hunter (Garou) as well as experience martial arts. Saitama plans to leave but Suiryu begs Saitama to not to because Gouketsu is out there, but Saitama ignores him. Suiryu hears multiple blows and crashes, and thinks Saitama is killed when Gouketsu's decapitated head lands in front of him. Saitama returns and asks Suiryu to not tell anyone what happened, and Suiryu asks if he could become a hero. Saitama agrees, since a nobody like himself can become a hero but when Suriyu asks to be Saitama's disciple, Saitama declines. Puri Puri Prisoner manages to defeat a demon-level monster called Free Hugger by hugging it so tightly that it explodes. Puri Puri Prisoner receives a call that his cell mates were captured by monsters. While walking after talking to C Class Water Gun, Saitama has an existential crisis by reflecting that his experience with martial arts and in the Hero Association has still left him bored. King meets up with Saitama and tries to explain that Saitama was so focused on being the strongest hero, he lost track of himself and should aim to be the best hero. Saitama declines, saying that it sounds boring but just when he gives up hope King offers to play against Saitama using only two fingers, rekindling Saitama's drive. Garou is defeated by Watchdog Man due to the unpredictable fighting style of Watchdog Man (his fighting style is more based on that of a wild beast, which Garou has no counter for) but is filled with adrenaline on what he can learn. Garou sees King, and is about to hit him when Saitama kicks Garou into a concrete wall. Saitama mentions that there are news of a hero hunter, and can't wait to meet him. Genos is taken in for repairs to Dr. Kuseno, and Sonic is training when he is attacked by two very powerful ninja warriors named Gale Wind and Hellfire Flame, who offer Sonic monster cells to become stronger. Sonic plans to eat the monster cells, but due to him cooking the monster cells he doesn't undergo transformation and has diarrhea instead. S Class Hero Rank 8 Zombieman sees Martial Gorilla, and is about to follow him when Armored Gorilla encounters Martial Gorilla. Armored Gorilla knocks Martial Gorilla unconscious, and Zombieman decides to follow Armored Gorilla instead. Bang and Bomb talk about Garou, and a monster infiltrates a member of the Hero Association to give them a message. | ||||||

| Saitama loses to King multiple times in a video game. While taking a break, Saitama notices King's phone, in which King explains the phone is used to call for hero emergencies. Gyoro-Gyoro and Destrochloridum take control of an executive in the Hero Association, in which they negotiate for a future where monsters and humans coexist. Destrochloridum then kills an executive, revealing that they were lying and instead outlines their true plan to the Hero Association: for the heroes to assemble and face the entire Monster Association in an all out battle, before the vessel that Gyoro-Gyoro controls explodes. Destrochloridum grabs his pistols to attack the remaining executives but Superalloy Darkshine (S Class Rank 11) arrives and kills Destrochloridum after it fails to take control of him. Gyoro and Monster King Orochi hold a meeting for monsters to fight against the heroes, when Orochi notices Awakened Cockroach and eats him due to Awakened Cockroach losing to Genos earlier. Do-S is spared from Orochi when Gyoro Gyoro notes she has special abilities. Orochi asks Gyoro Gyoro where Gouketsu is, but Gyoro Gyoro finds out that Gouketsu was killed. Leaks that the Monster Association are going to war with the Hero Association reach the public and the monsters (who reside in the city) plan to go kill humans and join the association, but they are all slain by Saitama, who is late for garbage duty. Garou wakes up from Saitama's kick, and sees A Class Hero Death Gatling, but is too tired and goes to a shack to rest, with Death Gatling noticing him. Tareo and his friends find someone in their shack and force Tareo to get that person out. Garou and Tareo meet again, and Garou tells Tareo if he doesn't want anyone to bully him, he should get stronger. Genos gets upgrades from Dr. Kuseno to better handle villains. Death Gatling arrives with his crew (Stinger, Smile Man, Wildhorn, Chain Toad, Glasses, Gun Gun, and Shooter) to confront Garou. Garou notices the crew, and looks at Tareo's almanac briefly before facing off against the heroes. Loudly proclaiming that after defeating them, he will have beat 100 heroes, Garou lunges at the heroes but is knocked back and kept unsteady by the barrage of attacks, taking two poisoned arrows to the back. Noting their teamwork, Garou targets Glasses, the presumed weak link, only to learn that Glasses is ready and able to fight as well. The heroes give the weakening Garou one last chance to surrender. | ||||||

| Death Gatling explains their reasoning to take down Garou: to earn respect from the Hero Association, who only cares about S Class and ignores the rest of the hardworking heroes, despite the amount of effort the lower heroes put in their work. Garou takes down Chain Toad, Shooter, Gun Gun, and Wildhorn. Death Gatling starts shooting at Garou, but Garou gets close to Glasses. Glasses remembers how he was looked down upon in Fubuki's group, when he was saved by Saitama in the past. Saitama tells Glasses instead of looking at his failures, he should move forward instead. Garou quickly defeats Glasses and Stinger, leaving Death Gatling the only one still standing. Death Gatling plans to use his final move, but Garou tries telling Death Gatling that there's a kid in the shed, however Death Gatling doesn't believe Garou and uses his final move: Death Shower. Garou singlehandedly redirects all the bullets elsewhere, saving Tareo. Garou defeats Death Gatling after insulting his pride, and Tareo runs away after seeing the defeated heroes. Garou tries to find a place with water, but Genos arrives thanks to Glass' signal. King barely beats Saitama in a video game match, making Saitama stressed out. King's phone vibrates, and says that Genos is at the place where the signal is located. Remembering that Genos always gets destroyed, Saitama and King start to go the location. Garou and Genos start fighting, with Genos pinning Garou to a tree with his robot hand. Genos nearly kills Garou, but Garou manages to escape and proclaims himself as the monster that no one can defeat. Genos counters that statement, saying that Saitama will always defeat any monsters because he's strong, leading Garou to ask who Saitama is. Suddenly, a group of monsters ambush Genos, but Genos swiftly kills them all, stating that he learns from his mistakes and will be stronger. Genos is about to fire at Garou once more but Bang kicks Garou in the head. Bomb arrives with Bang and kills more monsters, requesting Genos to leave Garou to Bang. As Bang and Garou get in their stances to fight, Bang remembers his first time meeting Garou. | ||||||

| Silverfang Fang and Bomb start to beat up Garou mercilessly. Garou remembers when he was a young loner and had a popular classmate name Tat-Chan. It is revealed that the reason why Garou hates heroes and wants to be a villain is because he believes that people only want to be a hero to beat up weaklings, as shown when Tat-Chan gangs up on Garou simply because he's a "monster." Garou repels Fang and Bomb, and Phoenix Man arrives and saves Garou. Genos is about to kill Garou and Phoenix Man but Phoenix Man calls for Elder Centipede to help. Fang and Bomb briefly wound Elder Centipede, but Elder Centipede knocks them back and sheds his damaged armor. Genos plans to stall Elder Centipede to give a chance for Fang and Bomb to get the defeated A Class Heroes to safety. Genos briefly wounds Elder Centipede, but Elder Centipede quickly regenerates and knocks Genos back. Genos starts to become disillusioned, believing himself as worthless since he could not beat the behemoth Dragon-level monster. Fang puts Genos down and plans to take on Elder Centipede himself when King arrives with a megaphone challenging Elder Centipede. The Hero Association briefly gave King history on Elder Centipede, and King lies that Blast (S Class Hero Rank 1) has arrived, goading Elder Centipede to fight him (Blast previously wounded Elder Centipede so badly that it retreated underground). Before Elder Centipede could kill King, Saitama arrives and kills it with a Serious Punch (as King told Saitama to make sure he kills the monster in one shot, for fear that it may cause damage to a nearby city). Saitama and Genos see each other in the wreckage, and Genos asks Saitama what he lacks. Saitama simply replies, "Power," which Genos takes note on, to the despair of King. Genos then looks forward to the future, believing he will be stronger now. The episode ends with Saitama asking the remaining heroes if they want to go back to his apartment. In the post credit scene, Garou finally passes out from exhaustion and Phoenix Man plans to take Garou to Orochi. | ||||||

| After spending some time together in a communal bath, Saitama gives Genos a key to their apartment and they both mull over items to buy for dinner; however, upon remembering a limited time sale at two separate supermarkets, the pair split up. Genos then senses a monster at a nearby shopping strip and defeats it. However, this makes him miss one of the sales. Once he reaches the other (closed down) supermarket, Genos bumps into the Dai Fuu Family's No. 2 man and the rival C-Class Pacino Family, headed by Don Pacino. Pacino mistakenly believes Genos is associated with the Dai Fuu Family; he steals the apartment key and kidnaps both men, promising to let them and the keys go once Genos states his case. Once Genos finishes telling his roundabout and ultimately worthless story to the Pacino family, Don Pacino becomes angry with Genos and the family opens fire. Genos easily defeats them and takes his key and the Dai Fuu Family's No. 2 man with him. After explaining his tardiness to Saitama, the pair enjoy some sukiyaki. | ||||||||||||

| After the events of episode 4, Sonic finds himself troubled that he cannot fight properly after his defeat at the hands of Saitama. While training in a forest with a Matagi who is looking to kill a bear that scarred him, Sonic rescues a baby boar from a snake that quickly bonds with him. Naming the boar Ino, Sonic continues training, gradually regains his confidence, and eventually leaves the Matagi and Ino, ready to fight Saitama again. Suddenly, the bear who scarred the Matagi (whose name is Frank) appears, only for Saitama to show up (he had previously heard of an influx of bears in the forest, and was hoping to have bear meat for dinner). | After the events of episode 7, Bang begins to spy on Saitama and Genos to gauge their abilities. Hopeful that his Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist martial arts is stronger, and that proving so will coerce Saitama and Genos to study under him, Bang invites Saitama and Genos to his dojo under the pretense of giving them free meat. Soon, Bang challenges Saitama to a variety of games, including card-based memory games and rock-paper-scissors, with Bang winning almost every time. During one rock-paper-scissors match, an enraged Saitama nearly crushes Bang with a hammer, who is then forced to admit that Saitama is truly powerful. | After Fubuki and the Blizzard Group get rid of one of Deep Sea King's leftover henchman, they are disheartened to learn that their heroism didn't make the next day's newspaper but everyone else's (including Tatsumaki) did. Fubuki takes this the hardest, and decides to go on a train ride to City Z to clear her thoughts. Genos, coincidentally, happens to also be on the same train with groceries. Later during the ride, Genos receives a call that an ex-Hero planted a bomb on the train and that it will detonate once it reaches the train station. Fubuki evacuates the panicked civilians off the train while enlisting the help of a budding, C-class hero to find the bomb; Genos tries to slow down the train from the outside. As Fubuki evacuates the C-class hero and hesitates while thinking about what to do with the bomb, Tatsumaki appears and successfully allows the train to detonate with no casualties; Fubuki once again expresses envy towards her older sister's actions. On the walk back, Fubuki meets up with the C-class hero, who expresses gratitude for Fubuki's actions and wishes to join Fubuki's group once she reaches B-class. Genos, meanwhile, visits Dr. Kuseno asking for psychic augmentation. The OVA ends with Saitama wondering why Genos is so late. | ||||||||||||

| The episode starts at the Hero Association's hot spring resort with the heroes who participated in the largest alien invasion had found Zombieman murdered on the floor. Child Emperor states one of the S-Class heroes is the culprit. The scene then flashbacks to the day before the murder had happened where all heroes were invited to stay overnight at the resort. The heroes enjoyed themselves in the hot spring. Metal Bat, who wasn't satisfied that some of the heroes that did not participate in the battle (Flashy Flash, Pig God, Watchdog Man), got invited as well. As they were also dealing with other monster cases, they got certain rewards as well. After the hot spring, Sitch gathers all the heroes to celebrate the victory against the invasion. A few heroes became drunk after drinking sake, which disgusted Child Emperor, who was later asked by Zombieman whether he's enjoying himself. The scene returns to the murder. Child Emperor gathers some of the evidence and tries to eliminate possible suspects to find out the truth, one of them being the weapon which stabbed Zombieman (Atomic Samurai's sword). He then interrogates a few other heroes including Saitama who asked Zombieman if he is truly immortal and finally asked King for more information. King recounts his story and shows a menacing face which scared Child Emperor a bit. Suddenly, Tatsumaki appears and is about to restrain everyone for being suspects of the murder when Zombieman wakes up. He then reveals that Atomic Samurai's katana was floating with green light surrounding it similar to Tatsumaki when she is flying. Child Emperor then asks Tatsumaki what she was doing last night and surmised that she was drunk from all the sake. She angrily argues that she knew Zombieman cannot be killed and wouldn't do such a half-assed thing. Bang calms her down and that everything's fine now that Zombieman is ok once again. Everyone then disbanded. Sitch then asked Child Emperor to look at a surveillance camera footage of last night. It shows that Tatsumaki is the culprit and she was very drunk. When walking home, Saitama was wondering why Tatsumaki would stab Zombieman. Genos knew it was Saitama's fault but doesn't tell him. It was revealed that Saitama told Tatsumaki that she is a child and shouldn't drink sake. Feeling humiliated, Tatsumaki takes revenge by drinking as much as she could. | ||||||||||||
