Fictional Alumnae

  • In the 2003 drama Mona Lisa Smile, Joan Brandwyn's (played by Julia Stiles) student file reveals that she attended Miss Porter's School, though the film incorrectly locates it in Pennsylvania.[37]
  • In the television show Mad Men, Don Draper's daughter, Sally Draper, attends Miss Porter's.
  • In the 2005 musical Rent, Joanne describes learning to tango from the French ambassador’s daughter in her dorm room at Miss Porter’s.
