List of Break Free episodes
Break Free (simplified Chinese: 曙光) is a Malaysian television drama series. It stars Tay Ping Hui, Terence Cao, Zhang Zhen Huan, Andie Chen, Yvonne Lim and Kate Pang as the main characters in the story. The story revolves around four men from different backgrounds who were convicted to jail and their aftermaths when they were released.
It was broadcast on MediaCorp Channel 8 in Singapore from 18 March 2013 to 26 April 2013,[1] and on ntv7 in Malaysia from 27 March 2013 to 16 May 2013. A total of 30 episodes were aired during this period.

| Haitang wants to bring the two kids back to Sarawak but that triggered Tianming's anger. He took up a weapon wanting to confront Haitang and her partner, Wang Xiaotian. Social worker Tian Shishi intervened and got both parties to sit down and talk. The meeting ended in a sour note due to Tianming's impulsiveness. | |||

| Yongcheng is sad over his daughter's vengeance against him. While drowning his sorrows in the coffeeshop, he found out that the mother of the boy he accidentally killed is often found crying at the scene of the accident and delusional at times. Yongcheng admitted to her that her was the culprit who killed her son and got her agitated instead. Ni Qingqing chased him away out of anger. | |||

| Shishi visits Yongcheng's house but got the sarcastic treatment from Huicheng. Yongcheng and Shishi got fooled by Huicheng when they followed her out. Huicheng pretends to attempt suicide and got the both of them worked up. As a result, Shishi twisted her ankle and Yongcheng felt guilty for it. He is grateful that Shishi continues to support him all this while. | |||

| Haolong suggested to Qingqing to rent a place as her house was burnt down. However, it was not easy to find accommodation within a short time and he asked Zhibin to take Qingqing in temporarily. Zhibin agreed without hesitation and although Ziyu appears cordial on the surface, deep down inside she is extremely unhappy that Qingqing is staying with them. | |||

| Qingqing incurred the ire of her boss, Liu Shuyuan when she refused to wash male customer's hair. Qingqing fell into financial difficulties and her mother's mental condition worsens. Qingqing seeks help from Zhibin and he gave her some money to tide her over. Ziyu got upset when she saw Zhibin looking out for Qingqing in every way. | |||

| Haolong confides in Shishi that he may have AIDS. Shishi managed to persuade him to go for a medical checkup. Results revealed that he may be a HIV carrier and his condition is in a latent stage. Haolong got worried and Shishi continues to encourage him. | |||

| While eating with Huicheng, Shishi suspects that she may have faked her pregnancy from her various actions. She told Yongcheng about it and when he went home to investigate, he found out that Huicheng is indeed not pregnant. Huicheng found out that it was Shishi who gave her away and went to Feixiang's house to create a din. | |||

| Qingqing's mum died, and Haolong went to accompany her to help her get over her sorrows. Yongcheng went to pay his respect to her but got Qingqing agitated and blamed him for causing her mother's death. It was then Haolong realized that Yongcheng was the culprit that killed Qingqing's brother. | |||

| Yongcheng does a merit ceremony for Qingqing's brother, but Qingqing is not grateful. Tianming and Haolong painstakingly tries to persuade Qingqing to let go of her resentment. Haolong and Qingqing get closer with each passing day, however Ziyu does not want Qingqing to get too close an ex-jailbird. Zhibin is upset that Ziyu does not respect his friend. The couple gets into an argument. | |||

| Huichen bears a grudge and threatens to expose Ziyu's secret abortion to Zhibin. Ziyu suspects that Shishi was the one who revealed her secret to Huichen, and confronts Shishi. Tianming tries to explain on behalf of Shishi, but ends up creating more trouble. | |||

| Huichen is unrepentant, and even seduces men for money. Thomas send his men to kidnap her. Qingqing chances upon the kidnap, and informs Haolong. Haolong, Yongcheng and Tianming ambushes Thomas to save the injured Huichen. | |||

| Haolong discovers that his rashes are getting from bad to worse. He goes online to research, and discovers that he had contracted symptoms of AIDS. He goes to the doctor, and is told that further observation need to be done before they can confirm his condition. Haolong feels helpless. Qingqing notices the rashes on Haolong's arms and offers to help him apply ointment. However Haolong refuses and Qingqing is puzzled. | |||

| Huichen becomes quiet and estranged. Yongcheng asks Shishi for help. Shishi believes that the kidnap had caused Huichen to become depressed. After some discussion, Yongcheng and Shishi decides to send Huichen to Tianming's company to work. Chunli and Zhenghui worries that Huichen will sabotage their smuggled loot. | |||

| Chunli goes all out to pick on Huichen at the company, hoping to chase Huichen away. Tianming looks out for Huichen and even invites her for a game of basketball with Zhongwei. Huichen accidentally bumps into Tianming in the middle of the game, and starts to develop feelings for him. | |||

| Huichen and Tianming meets Thomas's men on their way to deliver some goods. Thomas's men is back to seek revenge. Tianming gets injured while trying to save Huichen, causing her to fall even deeper in love with him. Shishi analyses that Huichen's behavior is a result of the kidnap that caused her to become especially dependent on Tianming. Shishi advises Tianming to keep a distance from Huichen. | |||

| Huichen falls in love with Tianming and asks for her parents' blessings. Yongcheng explodes in anger and threatens to disown her. Meichen leaves the house. | Haosong returns out of the blue, and starts to chase Shishi. Shishi is perplexed. She hopes that Haosong can give her more time to consider. Shishi looks for Tianming, to Huichen's displeasure. Huichen accidentally discovers a huge amount of money in Chunli's handbag. She suspects that the money was gotten from smuggling activities. Shishi finds out, and alerts Tianming. | |||

| Yongcheng got despondent over his illness and asked Tianming to take care of his daughter, Huicheng. However, Tianming is afraid that Huicheng still carries a torch for him. He thought of a way out that is to marry Shishi. He proposed to Shishi but she hesitates and did not agree immediately. | |||

| Zhenghui and Chunli's illegal smuggling activities were discovered by Zhongwei. The two of them tried to silence him and set fire to the warehouse in order to get rid of the evidence. Shishi and Haosong got there in time and dashed into the inferno trying to save Zhongwei. Tianming rushed to stop both Zhenghui and Chunli from getting away. | |||

| Ziyu changed her habits by giving up the luxuries and settled for a more modest lifestyle. Her motive was to move Zhibin but he still maintains a distance from her. Zhibin decides to take over the nursery but is lacked of capital to do so. He turns to Haolong and Qingqing for help. Haolong agrees to invest in the nursery and give his shares to Qingqing. | |||

| Huicheng confronts Thomas with a knife and killed him in the process. She knows that she will be wanted by the police and seeks Haolong for help. Haolong persuades her to turn herself in and promises to fight for her in court. However, Huicheng absconded with Haolong's money instead. | |||

| Huicheng decides to surrender herself after finding no way out. Her condition is that Yongcheng has to go for the operation so that she can turn herself in in peace. Shishi arranges both father and daughter to meet and reconcile their differences. After that meeting, Huicheng went to jail while Yongcheng went into the operating theatre. | |||

| Huicheng's case finally went to court and Haolong moved everyone with his eloquence in defending Huicheng. The judge finally declares that Huicheng is not guilty of homicide but the charge of homicide in self-defence is guilty. She escapes the gallows but Haolong fainted in court at this instance due to his illness. | |||

| Tianming found out that Shishi went to learn qigong and questions her motive in doing so. Haolong asks Shishi to help find some info and in the process, Shishi told Haolong her real intention in getting close to Xiaotian. She wants to investigate the real reason behind Meimei's death. Tianming also finds something amiss in Meimei's death and went to Hong Kong to find out more. | |||

| The Commercial Investigation Branch uncovers that Ziyu is involved in moneylaundering and Zhibin got implicated as a result. He questions Ziyu about this and she feigns that she is weak as a result of her pregnancy. The real fact is that she is plotting to run away with the money. The both of them got into a scuffle when Ziyu wants to sell the nursery. | |||

| Shishi suspects that the death of Xiaotian, Hailing and Meimei are inter-related. Hailing went to look for Shishi and in their conversation, discovers that Hailing and Xiaotian were both present on the night of Meimei's death. However, due to the blind spot not captured by the camera, they were too late when they discovered Meimei's drowning. | |||

| Yongcheng went to find Xiaotian and gave him a good beating. Shishi arrives at Xiaotian's house and finds him dead in the swimming pool. Autopsy reveals that the cause of death is due to drowning. Haolong suspects that someone pushed Xiaotian into the pool. Shishi became a suspect by the police when she accidentally stepped on the trail of blood present at the crime scene… | |||
