Liskeard Radio

Liskeard Radio is a community radio station that broadcasts on 88.7 FM to Liskeard and its surrounding areas in South East Cornwall (UK).

Established in 2013, Liskeard Radio Ltd operates on a 28-day Restricted Service Licence in the run up to Christmas.[1]

All shows are produced and presented locally by a large team of volunteers. The station is financed by sponsorship from local businesses and community grants.

In October 2019 Liskeard Radio secured their own premises on Barras Street after years of broadcasting above local shops and Liskeard School & Community College.

In November 2019 Liskeard Radio released their own single Turn The Radio On [2] in a Christmas chart bid [3]

During the Coronavirus lockdown of 2020 they began broadcasting full-time on-line [4] and increased their output to include simulcasts from other community radio stations both in Cornwall and nationally. Many local musicians and bands were featured in local music based shows.
