Line SFM1, part of the Turin metropolitan railway service, links Pont Canavese to Chieri passing through Turin city centre.

The line was inaugurated on 9 December 2012.[1]

In January 2014, three four-car Alstom Coradia Meridian EMU trains entered service on route SFM1, to account for the 15% increase in ridership since the route was launched in 2012.[2]
