Leonidas "Leon" Howard

Leonidas Howard Sr. (1849 – March 8, 1912), usually known as Leon Howard, was an African-American laborer from Memphis, Tennessee (apparently an ex-slave) who served one term as a Republican member of the Tennessee House of Representatives for the 43rd General Assembly (1883–84). He later moved to Bakersfield, California. [1]

He died at his home in Bakersfield on March 8, 1912.[2]
