Lemon (geometry)

In geometry, a lemon is a geometric shape in 3D, constructed by a lens (or less than half of a circular arc) rotated about an axis passing through the endpoints of the lens (or arc).[1] The cross-section of a lemon is a lens.[1]

The lemon-shape is similar to the fusiform (spindle-like) shape, but the latter often implies a focal broadening of a structure that continues from one or both ends, such as an aneurysm on a blood vessel.
