Le Bon Dieu sans confession
Le Bon Dieu sans confession (Good Lord Without Confession) is a 1953 French drama film directed by Claude Autant-Lara, who co-wrote the screenplay with Roland Laudenbach and Ghislaine Autant-Lara, based on the novel Monsieur Dupont est mort by Paul Vialar. The film starred Danielle Darrieux, Henri Vilbert and Claude Laydu. It was presented in the 1953 Venice Film Festival and Henri Vilbert won the Volpi Cup for Best Actor.

Plot
Mr. Dupont's funeral brings together family and friends through different flashbacks that reconstruct the story. Among these, stands out her lover Janine who for years took advantage of his generosity but never really betrayed her husband.
