Lauren Singer

Lauren Singer is an environmental activist, entrepreneur, and blogger. Her blog "Trash is for Tossers" focuses on educating readers on how she achieves a zero waste lifestyle, and her company The Simply Co. sells environmentally friendly products.[1][2][3]

Early life and education

Singer attended NYU and received a degree in environmental studies in 2013. She went on to work as a sustainability analyst for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.[4][5]

Career and activism

Lauren Singer started her zero waste journey in 2012.[6] In the same year, Singer began the Trash is for Tossers blog, detailing her journey of zero waste.[1] All of the waste she does produce is kept inside the same 16 oz. mason jar. Lauren spoke at TEDxTeen 2015.[7] She started Package Free Shop[8] in Brooklyn New York in 2017 [9] [10] [11] .[12] Package Free Shop is a total zero waste store. She also makes DIY videos for a simple zero waste life on her YouTube channel.
