Korean American Coalition

The Korean American Coalition (KAC) was founded in 1983 with its first chapter in Los Angeles out of the LA riots to define and improve Korean Americans role and opportunity in society and to bring up the issue of inner city violence. [1] KAC also works to educate the public on current and past Korean culture. There are now 9 chapters spread across the country. Many chapters work to provide scholarships and internship opportunities for Korean Americans. The KAC also have worked Voter Registration drives and helped provide a translated ballot for Korean voters.
