Kevin Makely

Kevin Makely is an American actor and producer.

Early life and education

Makely was a 1992 graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School in Poughkeepsie in Dutchess County, New York State. He was raised by his mother, Joan, and has one brother, Jason. Makely got into bodybuilding at a young age. He worked as a bouncer in his home town before working as a fitness trainer in New York. Makely who won the tri-state professional Natural Bodybuilding contest in 1997.[1]

Career

His first acting’s role of note came from an open call in Manhattan for the Woody Allen directed Celebrity (film). He then had roles in television that include All My Children, As the World Turns and Desperate Housewives; and films such as Zeroville, Mr. & Mrs. Smith.[2]

Makely has theee times teamed up with writer and director Justin Lee. 2018’s “Big Legend,” in which he portrays a former soldier who ventures into the Pacific Northwest to find the truth behind his fiancée's disappearance.[3] and “Any Bullet Will Do,” also released in 2018 in which he plays a ruthless headhunter in 1876 Montana who is tracking down his own brother with the help of a young fur trapper.[4] In 2019 Makely produces and starred in Lee’s Badland as a Pinkerton detective tracking down Confederate soldiers with things to hide, in a cast that included Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino and multiple nominee Bruce Dern.[5] Badland had success, after a small cinema release in November 2019, on steaming platform Netflix spending time in their top 10 most watched, peaking at number 3.[6]

Personal life

Makely lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Christi, and two young daughters, Hazel and Violet.
