Ken Murphy (businessman)
Ken Murphy (born 1966/1967) is an Irish business executive. He is the chief executive-designate (CEO) of Tesco, and will succeed Dave Lewis in 2020.

Murphy was born in Cork, Ireland.[2] He earned a bachelor's degree from University College Cork, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.[1][3] He is a qualified accountant.[1]
Murphy started his career with UniChem, a drugs wholesaler which became part of Boots UK.[3] After Walgreens took over Boots in 2014, he rose to become chief commercial officer and president of global brands at the parent company, Walgreens Boots Alliance.[3] The 52 year-old Irishman, who is a qualified accountant, has worked in health and beauty retail all his life. [4]
On 3 October 2019, it was announced that Murphy would succeed Dave Lewis as CEO of Tesco.[5]
Murphy is married with three children.[1]
