Personal life
Kavya was born in Chennai, where she grew up.[1] She is a Bharatanatyam dancer and has danced since her childhood. She learned to dance under actress Jayabharathi. She studied visual communication in college before pursuing a career in acting.[2]
Career
She made her debut with Lasagu Usaga (2013) opposite Govind Padmasoorya. The film, however, failed to have a theatrical release.[1][2] She went on to star in Ore Mukham (2016) and Kamuki (2018). Her role in Kamuki was well received and enable her to receive further offers.[2]
