Kaalpurush (1994 film)
Kaalpurush also spelt as Kalpurush is a 1994 Indian Bengali action film starring Prosenjit Chatterjee and Satabdi Roy in the lead roles with Nirmal Kumar, Satya Bandyopadhyay and Dulal Lahiri portraying other key supporting characters. Directed by Pratap Jaiswal and produced by Sushil Podder the film had musical score by Kanu Bhattacharya[1] and story penned by Suriya Samantha. The film was edited by Jayant Laha while Prem Ningoo handled the cinematography.
Plot
Anil who lives with his mother and sister gets a job through Rajan, an acquittance. He has to teach the latter's sister Priya. Gradually they develop feelings for each other but Priya changes her mind at the last moment.
On that very day Anil's mother and sister who are returning from a Kalipuja ceremony is attacked by goons forcing Anil to kill them. He then moves away so as to start a fresh life ends up as a supervisor in a company thanks to Raghudasa. He happens to meet Priya there and decides to distance himself only to learn that she is Lakshmi, a girl who looks like Priya. She falls in love with him and he marries her. Soon he gets to know that his sister was murdered by Rajan who has married her. With the support and encouragement of Lakshmi, Anil decides to make sure that his sister gets justice.
