Learning Triangle

Every piece of K's Kids toy is designed for the healthy development of a child. To help parents understand the benefits of their toy to children, K's Kids have developed "Learning Triangle" which summarizes what a child needs in his PHYSICAL, COGNITIVE and SOCIAL developments. Learning Triangle provides parents an easily understandable guideline of what kind of developmental skills a child can get from playing with such a toy. The 9 icons, which represent more detailed developmental areas, will explain to parents the details of each of the developmental benefits. On each of K's Kids toy, has indicated, through Learning Triangle, how children can benefit from the different developmental aspects that K's Kids toys provide for him. There are toys with single minded functions, some for multi developmental functions. It depends on the need of different stages.

The K's Kids Parents' Support Center is the extension and application of the K's Kids learning triangle. The value of a toy is not based solely on fun, but the balance of fun and learning. As a child's developmental process is a process of learning, a high quality toy is one that allows the child to learn and play at the same time. The K's Kids Learning Triangle is the foundation of all K's Kids products. From concept to structure, and from the color of a button to the placement of a mirror, all details of K's Kids products are designed based on the 9 developmental aspects of the K's Kids learning triangle.

“Learn how your child can make use of this toy to have fun and learn at the same time!” To help parents get to know the full benefit of K's Kids toys, K's Kids provides product demo videos to explain the detailed usage of each of their toys. The videos often use stop motion to specify the product features and toddler demonstrate how to play the toys with his/her friends and parents. The videos can be found on K's Kids website product page, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram, etc...

In 2016, K's Kids has developed an online version Play Development Advisor to suggest parents to answer a few questions in order to advise parents what children can do in each developmental stages and pick the right toy for developmental purpose.

Popbo Blocs is a sister brand of K's Kids, the brand focuses on soft and hard plastic building blocks specifically designed for infants and toddlers. Popbo Blocs' unique linking system makes it easy for babies to pop the blocks on and off and is a great training tool for their motor skills, hand-eye coordination and creativity. Training2s is a subline of K's Kids brand since 2013. Some children may need special training in some areas. K's Kids has specially developed a series of toys called Training2s™ to help children to improve their skills at areas that they are weak at. Parents or teachers can make use of these tools to improve a child's weakness, such as improve eye-hand coordination, sensory integration, body balance, small and big muscles, emotions, logical sequences etc. “The toys that we used for SEN kids are of no big difference from “normal” toys, it is just a matter of how we make use of them to train their different weak points. Some are for focusing, some for emotions, some of speech delay, some for sensory stimulation.” With Training2s, K’s Kids is working closely with child experts worldwide to design toys and play program that can help parents to make use of toys for training SEN kids.

Beginning from 2016, the Open University of Hong Kong has included K’s Kids Learning Triangle and toy development in some of their early child education classes. At the same time, K’s Kids toys are being used and tested in one of the playroom for the Special Education Need (SEN) children at the Hong Kong Education University. Meanwhile, Hong Kong University will be staging a forum on play development in January 2017 when K’s Kids toys will be one of the highlights of the event for child experts to share about play therapy and play development to attending parents and visitors.

Established since 2001, Read & Play is a cloth activity books line created specially for children’s early stages of development from 0 to 5 years old.
