Joint committee (diplomatic)
A Joint Committee is used in diplomacy for the governance of Treaties.
The European Union uses the Joint Committee as a tool of governance for treaties where there are close relations with other states with examples including:
- The EEA Joint Committee[1]
- The Joint Committee governing the Brexit withdrawal agreement with United-Kingdom
- The Joint Committee governing the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement[2]
- The Joint Committee governing the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement with Canada
