History

The school is named for John Tyler Morgan, a confederate general.[1] The first classes in 1965 were held in the John Tyler Morgan House until a new campus was built in 1967.

The school did not admit its first black student until 2008.[2]

Robotics

Morgan has an active robotics program.[3]
