John Diffley (biologist)

John Francis Xavier Diffley (born 1958 in New York City)[1][2] is a molecular biologist who specializes in studying eukaryotic DNA replication. He was awarded the 2019 Canada Gairdner International Award for his "pioneering research on the eukaryotic DNA replication cycles including initiation, regulation and responses to DNA damage".[3]

He is associate research director at the Francis Crick Institute.[4]
