John C. Craig

John Charles Craig, known as John C. Craig, was an architect in Chicago and in Utah.

He was born in 1865 in Iowa.[1]

He worked most of his career in Chicago but designed several prominent works in Salt Lake City.[2]

Works include:

  • Eagle Gate Apartments (1903), also known as Louise Grace Emery Apartments, Salt Lake City. Demolished.[1]
    • "Eagle Gate Apartments also known as the Bransford Apartments, and the Louise Grace Emery Apartments, presently known as the Canyon Road Apartments."[3]

  • New Grand Hotel (1910), 385 S. Main Street, Salt Lake City.[1]
  • Shubrick Apartment Hotel (1912), 72 West 400 South, Salt Lake City. Demolished.[1]
