Joel Freeman

Joel A. Freeman is an American author, trainer and motivational speaker.[1] Freeman is the founder of the Freeman Institute Foundation.[2] He is a business coach to executives, corporate trainer, conference speaker, workshop facilitator, and organizational culture change specialist.[3][4]

Early life and education

Joel grew up in a town of about 2,000 people in western Canada (Three Hills, Alberta). He currently resides in Maryland.[5] Freeman completed his Masters of Science in Psychology from Loyola University (Baltimore, MD).[6]

Career

Freeman served in player development for NBA's Washington Bullets/Wizards from 1979 to 1998.[7][8] He is the author of If Nobody Loves You Create The Demand. The book illustrates the fact that merely having a profound business idea, a product or service does not guarantee the success of a business. In his book, he demonstrates the skills and tools necessary for individuals starting a new venture.[9][4]

Freeman has studied Israel and Greece. He leads annual educational tours for groups wanting to travel to either of those regions.[10] He loaned one of his Rosetta Stone Replicas to the National Cryptologic Museum, NSA, Ft. Meade, Maryland.[11][12][4]

Freeman won the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. "We Share The Dream" Award.
