Joel Bomgar

Joel Bomgar (born 1980) is an American businessman and politician. He is the founder of Bomgar Corporation, a technology company. He serves in the Mississippi House of Representatives.

Early life

Joel Bomgar was born on February 6, 1980.[1] He graduated from Belhaven University.[1] He served in the Mississippi Air National Guard.[1]

Career

In 2003, Joel Bomgar founded Bomgar Corporation,[2] a leader in enterprise remote support technology. Bomgar grew the company to deliver superior service to thousands of customers around the globe, including technology companies, healthcare organizations, financial institutions, government agencies, colleges and universities, and retail companies.

Bomgar served on the Steering Committee of the Mississippi Economic Council Blueprint Mississippi, the statewide long-range economic development plan.[1] Additionally, he served on the Boards of Trustees of the Madison County Foundation and his alma mater, Belhaven University.[1]

Bomgar has served as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives since January 2016.[1] He represents District 58, including parts of Madison, Mississippi and Ridgeland, Mississippi.[1] He serves as Vice-Chairman of the House Medicaid Committee.[1]

Personal life

Bomgar is married to Rachel Roberts.[1] They reside in Madison, Mississippi.[1]

Bomgar is a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church.[1]
