Playing career

Besse began his Canadian career in 2000 in the Ligue de Soccer Elite Quebec with Francheville. In 2006, he played with Trois-Rivières Sélect where he scored 11 goals finishing as the third highest goalscorer in the league.[1] For the remainder of the season he played with Laval Dynamites of the Canadian Soccer League.[1] He made his debut for the club on September 9, 2006 against the Caribbean Selects which resulted in a 4-1 victory.[2]

The following CSL season, he signed with expansion franchise Trois-Rivières Attak. He was the first player along with Nicolas Lesage to sign a contract with the new franchise, and was announced on January 17, 2007.[3] He made his debut on May 13 in a match against Toronto Croatia in a scoreless draw.[4] He scored his first goal on May 20, 2007 in a 2-1 over the Canadian Lions.[5] He helped Attak to claim their first piece of silverware by claiming the Open Canada Cup, and finished as runner-up in the National Division.[6]

He returned for the 2008 season where he helped the Attak claim their first National Division title, and helped the club reach a 13-game undefeated streak. In the postseason he contributed by scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 victory over the St. Catharines Wolves in the quarterfinal match.[7] He reached the final of the CSL Championship, where once again the Attak were defeated by the Serbian White Eagles, which ended in 2-2 draw and decided through penalties by a score of 2-1.[8] In the same season Besse was loaned out to the Montreal Impact in the USL First Division where he appeared in one match.[9][10]

In 2014, he played in the Première Ligue de soccer du Québec with FC L'Assomption-Lanaudière.[11]

International career

Bessé made his international debut for the Québec official soccer team on June 25, 2013 against Provence in the International Peoples, Cultures, and Tribes Tournament.[12]
