Jay Shetty

Jay Shetty is a British Indian vlogger, author, former monk and motivational speaker.[1][2][3][4] He has appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show[5] and The Today Show.[6]

Early life

Shetty attended Queen Elizabeth's School, Barnet[7] then went on to graduate from the Cass Business School at the University of London.[1] He spent four summers in India interning at corporations and training with the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) and living a Vedic monk lifestyle.[8]

Career

Shetty is a Huffington Post vlogger[9] and created the most viewed Facebook video of 2018.[10] Topics of his video include relationships, wellness, mental health, and purpose.[1][11] Shetty has interviewed Russell Simmons, Deepak Chopra, Kobe Bryant, and Tim Ferriss.[12][13]

Shetty was included on Forbes 30 Under 30 Europe in 2017. Shetty was recognized on the National Geographic Chasing Genius Council 2017[14] and the Asian Media Awards 2016 Best Blog.[15] Shetty has been featured on the BBC and has spoken to audiences at Google, Nasdaq, HSBC, and Barclays.[16] Shetty was the recipient of awards at the 2016 ITV Asian Media Awards[17] and the 2018 Streamy Awards.[18]

In April 2019, Shetty was honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Online Award at The Asian Awards.[19]

In August 2019, Shetty was accused of repeatedly plagiarizing other people's work.[20][21][22][23]
