Background and education

Jason Zachary was born on June 29, 1977.[1] Zachary is married to Holly, and together they have one child, Tyson. He obtained an associate's degree from Pellissippi State Community College. He briefly attended but did not graduate from the University of Tennessee.[1] Zachary became a member of Tennessee State House of Representatives in August 12, 2015.[1]


Local politics

Jason Zachary lost an election to the United States House of Representatives in 2014. Zachary was a successful candidate for Tennessee House of Representatives representing District 14 in 2018. He is recognized as the Vice President (and sole employee) of Agent Sales at Americomm from 1999 to present.[2] Zachary is a House member of the 109th through 111th General Assemblies,[1] and he is also the Board of Directors for International Sports Consulting.[1]

Zachary is a noted opponent of LGBTQ rights[3], a key figure in Tennessee's "slate of hate" [4], a proponent of defunding public education[5], and was involved in a "vote buying" scheme investigated by local news outlets [6].

Religious affiliation

Jason Zachary ascribes to a Christian faith. He is a partner of the Center for Christian Statesmanship on Capitol Hill from 2014 to present time.[2] He is also a member on the board of Western Heights Baptist Center, and a member at First Baptist Concord [2] which was a subject of a sexual harassment lawsuit in 2018.[7]
