James Angus (scientist)

James Alexander Angus AO FAA (15 February 1949, Sydney ) is an Australian pharmacologist. He held the Chair in Pharmacology at The University of Melbourne from 1993 to 2003, and in 2003 was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne. He was elected a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science (FAA) in 1996, awarded the Centenary Medal in 2001,[1] and appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2010.[2][3][4][5] Angus was made an Honorary Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences in 2015.[6]
