Jack Blackford (born 13 May 1998) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays for Marske United as a winger.

Career

Blackford progressed through the youth teams at Hartlepool United and made his professional debut on 16 April 2016 in a 2–1 victory against York City.[2] In 2016, Blackford had a trials at Manchester City and Aston Villa.[3] Blackford also went on trial with Rangers in May 2017, playing for the Scottish club's U20s in the HKFC Soccer Sevens.[4]

In October 2017, Blackford moved to Northern League Division One side Shildon on a short-term loan deal.[5]

Blackford has his contract cancelled by mutual consent in January 2018 to pursue a football career over in America.[6] Blackford later went back on trial with Hartlepool four months later after his move to America fell through.[7]

Blackford signed for Northern League Division One side Shildon at the start of the 2018/19. He scored on his debut against Stockton Town[8] and then scored a hat-trick in his second game against Guisborough Town.[9] In February 2019, Blackford moved up a division when he signed for Northern Premier League Division One East side Marske United.[10]
