Biography

Jérémy Amelin was born on July 1, 1986 and was a finalist of French music TV show Star Academy 5.[1] He performed live during 16 primetime shows on TF1 watched by over 7.3 million viewers each week and over 8.75 million viewers on its season finale.[2]

Amelin released five singles[3][4] — including his debut single À Contre Sens, ranked 13th on the French billboard charts.[5] He completed a nationwide tour of 115 concerts in France's biggest arenas such as the Olympia, the Congress Palace, Zeniths, the Dix-Heures Theater, and also performed twice on the Champs-Élysées at the Queen Club (Paris, France) on March 9, 2008 and June 24, 2009.[6]

Amelin also created his own clothing line called Elektrode,[7] photographed by Fred Goudon — French photographer and author of the Dieux du Stade rugbymen calendars, while the behind the scenes were filmed and broadcast on Fashion TV.[8]

After an extended break, he returned on stage to star as Captain Phoebus in the Luc Plamondon and Riccardo Cocciante musical Notre Dame de Paris — to celebrate its 10-year anniversary tour in Seoul, South Korea.[9]

From September 3, 2016 to July 9, 2017, Amelin was the lead performer in the cabaret musical Flamboyant at the Royal Palace in Kirrwiller, France.[10]
