Interton Video 2000

The Interton Video 2000 is a relatively rare[1] dedicated first-generation home video game console that was released in 1975 by Interton in Germany.[2][3][4] The console turns itself on automatically when a cartridge is inserted.[2] This console was also one of the first cartridge-based consoles ever released in Europe.[5]

The Interton Video 2000 was a very powerful console for its time as it contained 14 CMOS chips.[5] The successor of the Interton Video 2000 is the Interton Video 2400.

Games

Only five games were released for the system:[2]

  1. Sparring
  2. Badminton
  3. Attacke
  4. Tennis (Pong clone)
  5. Super Tennis

On these cartridges isn't a program, there are just a few wires that connect electrically a few parts of the intern console hardware that a game appears on the screen.

Clones

A clone of the Interton Video 2000 called Tele-Tenis was made only in Spain.[3]

Trivia

On the box art of the system, two more games were shown, but were never released: Car Race, and Naval Battle.[2][5]
