On April 21, 2008 Coca-Cola put a new product on the market called Fanta FuruFuru Shaker (ファンタ ふるふるシェイカー). It is provided in smaller cans (190ml and 235ml) and consists of two elements: "carbon acid" and a "jelly" substance. You have to shake the can, before drinking it.[11] This product was aimed at teenagers and Fanta lovers, but the drink has become popular with salarymen. After a short run this product was discontinued and brought back for another short run in 2011. This product is once again out of production.

Thailand

As common in the south east part of Asia, the sugar content of these flavours is much higher than in the rest of the world, giving the drinks a quite different taste compared to similar flavours around the rest of the world.

  • Orange
  • Grape (retired, returned 2010)
  • Red Soda (strawberry) - This flavour is now listed on the packaging. Before, it was just called red soda or nam dang (น้ำแดง - literally means red water). Red Fanta was reportedly the preferred drink of the then-King of Thailand Bhumibol Adulyadej. Glasses and open bottles of red Fanta are often seen as offerings on the small altars displayed in most Thai homes and shops. They supposedly represent blood offerings in Thai animistic beliefs.
  • Green Soda (cream soda) - This flavour is not listed on the packaging. It is just called green soda or nam quiew (น้ำเขียว - literally means green water). The taste is very similar to a green jelly drink that is popular in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
  • Blueberry (2012)
  • Icy Lemon Lime (introduced 2015) Tastes similar to Lucozade.
  • Dang Manao

Notes

Coca-Cola Freestyle Caveat

Many of the "Fanta" flavors inside of the Coca-Cola Freestyle machines cannot be found in normal Fanta bottles, and that the flavor is reused throughout multiple different beverages (e.g. Diet Coke Lime and Fanta Lime). Thus, you could consider Coca-Cola Freestyle Fanta to not be actual Fanta, as the flavors used are not exclusive to the Fanta beverage.
