Telekom Brunei Berhad (TelBru) was Brunei Darussalam’s premier telecommunications company and main telecommunications provider that offers various services to the Consumer, and Enterprise sectors, with its mainstay being high speed broadband (HSBB) and telephony services over fibre optics infrastructure.[2] At present, the company offers a minimum bandwidth of 10 Mbit/s with several other packages that can reach speeds of 300 Mbit/s.[2] Based on demand, TelBru also had the capability to provide 2.5 Gbit/s.[3] The company also provides IT-based solutions for corporate as well as government clients.[2]

History

TelBru was incorporated May 30, 2002. It has been operational since April 2006 when the Department of Telekom Brunei (JTB) was corporatized on 1st April 2006.[4]

As of the end of 2017, the company employs more than 900 staff.[4]
