Igor Farkhutdinov

Igor Pavlovich Farkhutdinov (Russian: Игорь Павлович Фархутдинов) (April 16, 1950 August 20, 2003) was governor of Sakhalin Oblast, Russia during 1995–2003.[1]

He was of Tatar ancestry, a direct descendant of Murza Fahr ad-Din who had lived in XVI century.

He died in a helicopter crash on August 20, 2003.

As governor, he was preceded by Yevgeny Krasnoyarov and succeeded by Ivan Malakhov.
