I'm From Japan

I'm From Japan (ジモトがジャパン, Jimoto ga Japan) is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Seiji Hayashi. It began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine in September 2018, until it was transferred to Saikyō Jump in May 2019 and finished in April 2020. The individual chapters are collected and published by Shueisha, with five tankōbon volumes released as of February 2020. Viz Media published the first three chapters for its "Jump Start" initiative. Shueisha began to simulpublish the series in English on their app and website Manga Plus in January 2019.

It began serialization in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine on September 15, 2018,[4] until May 27, 2019, when the series was transferred to Saikyō Jump, starting its publication in the magazine on June 1, 2019.[5] The series finished on April 2, 2020.[6] The individual chapters are collected and published by Shueisha into five tankōbon volumes as of February 2020. Volume 6 was slated to be released on May 1, 2020 but was delayed to May 13, 2020 due to COVID-19 concerns.[7]

Viz Media published the first three chapters for its "Jump Start" initiative.[8] Shueisha simulpublished the series in English on their app and website Manga Plus.[9]

Anime

An anime television series adaptation was announced via Weekly Shōnen Jump's official Twitter account on December 22, 2018.[16] The series is animated by ODDJOB and directed by Isamu Ueno, with Masato Naruse and Kōji Hashimoto handling series composition, and Hana Nohara and Fumiyuki Uehara designing the characters.[17] The series premiered on TV Tokyo on April 8, 2019 and finished on March 23, 2020.[18][19] Akira Kushida performed the series' opening theme song "Appare! Jimoto ga Ichiban!!".
