Hombale Films is an Indian film production house involved predominantly in (Sandalwood) Kannada cinema.

History

Hombale Films is owned by Vijay Kiragandur, a young entrepreneur from Bangalore entered Sandalwood with the film Ninnindale. Released in 2014, the film starred Puneeth Rajkumar. The film was completely shot abroad. Next Masterpiece released in 2015, succeeded in boxoffice.

Their third venture Raajakumara became an industry hit. It reportedly grossed more than Rs.75 crores in the Karnataka box office and was a industry hit.[1][2]

Their fifth film K.G.F: Chapter 1 directed by Prashanth Neel. First Kannada cinema to enter the Rs 200 crore club worldwide, collected more than 225 crores. struck gold at the box office and won audiences across languages. Movie was dubbed and released in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Malayalam. It did well in all languages.[3]

Upcoming films

After working with Puneeth and Yash in five films. Hombale Films is also working on K.G.F: Chapter 2 which is an upcoming Indian Kannada-language period action film directed by Prashanth Neel. The film is a sequel to K.G.F: Chapter 1, which was released in 2018 and stars, Yash. Yash is reprising his lead role from the first film and Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt will star as the antagonist, marking his debut in Kannada. The film is expected to be released in 2020 and will be dubbed in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu languages.[4][5]
