Hilary Harkness

Hilary Harkness (born 1971) is an American painter.[1] Harkness is known for her detailed paintings that employ miniature figures, often in structures.[2][3]

Harkness was born in Detroit, Michigan.[4] She holds a Bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MFA degree from the Yale University School of Art.[4][5]

In 2013 she held a solo exhibition at the FLAG art Foundation, New York.[6] Her work is included in the Seavest Collection[7] and the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art.[1]

In 2003 she was a recipient of the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation award.[8]
